Upcoming Trainings & Workshops

@ Past Tense (Alley) Yoga Studio

Mindful Mobility: Lower Body, April 13th We will explore the feet, ankles, knees, hips and spine.

Mindful Mobility: Upper Body, April 27th We will explore the hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders and spine.

You've heard the saying "If you don't use it, lose it". This can very much be applied to our body's ability to move in all of the ways it was designed to. In this 2-part series with Ellie, we will explore the major joints, moving through a series of exercises to encourage freedom of movement. This workshop is designed for practitioners of any level and will incorporate Yoga Postures as a means to explore range of motion.

Benefits of Practicing Mobility Exercises:

  • Reduced physical injury

  • Increased strength through muscle activation

  • Releasing built-up tension within the body

  • Improved posture

  • Better understanding of your body

What to expect:

  • Releasing the muscles around specific joints through self massage (please bring a set of Tuneup Balls) and Stretching

  • Strength exercises using lightweight resistance bands and body weight

  • Putting it all together into a slow flow to integrate mind and body

200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

@ Past Tense Yoga Studio

Stay Tuned for 2025 Dates

The Past Tense 200-Hr Teacher Training, led by Amy Rizzotto (ERYT-500) and Ellie Conrad (ERYT-400 and LMT) is designed for anyone who is ready to deepen their practice physically, mentally, and spiritually. We invite you to spend these six months cultivating a thoughtful relationship with yoga in an accessible format and with a supportive community.

This transformative program will deepen your personal yoga practice, help you tap into your inner power, build physical strength, and give you tools to move better, stress less, and live fully whether you want to teach or not. Together, and with the support of the Past Tense Teacher Training team, we will explore anatomy through the lens of asana, functional movement and mobility, pranayama and the bandhas, meditation, and yoga philosophy in relation to social justice.
